What Size Enclosure Does Your Reptile Need?

Gradient Thermique
Tous les reptiles ont besoin d'un côté chaud et d'un côté frais pour thermoréguler. Dragon barbu : point chaud 38-43°C, côté frais 24-27°C. Ce gradient est impossible à maintenir dans un terrarium trop petit — raison supplémentaire pour prendre plus grand.
Under-tank heaters (UTH) are better than heat lamps for nocturnal reptiles (leopard geckos, ball pythons) because they provide belly heat without disturbing the day/night light cycle. Use a thermostat with any heating element — unregulated heaters cause burns and fires.
