What Is a Round Robin Bet?
A round robin creates every possible parlay combination from your selected picks. If you pick 4 teams and choose 2-leg parlays, you get 6 different 2-leg parlays (AB, AC, AD, BC, BD, CD). Unlike a straight parlay where one loss kills the entire bet, a round robin can still profit even if one or more picks lose — because the remaining parlays may still win.
Round Robin vs Straight Parlay
A 4-pick straight parlay costs $10 and pays big if all 4 win, but returns $0 if any leg loses. A 4-pick round robin (2-leg) costs $60 (six $10 parlays) but returns money even if 1-2 picks lose. The tradeoff: lower maximum payout but much higher probability of some return. Round robins are essentially a middle ground between straight bets and parlays.
Round robins are popular with recreational bettors who want parlay-like payouts with downside protection. However, the total cost is much higher than a single parlay. A 5-pick round robin with 2-leg parlays costs 10x the single bet amount — make sure your total risk is within your bankroll management rules.
