Wedding Tipping Etiquette

Wedding vendor tipping follows different rules than restaurant tipping. Many vendors are business owners who set their own prices — tipping the owner is optional but appreciated. Employees (servers, bartenders, drivers) should always be tipped. When in doubt, cash in a labeled envelope handed to each vendor at the end of the night is the standard approach. Assign a trusted person (best man, maid of honor, wedding coordinator) to distribute tip envelopes so the couple does not have to think about it on their wedding day.
