Calendars repeat every 28 years (or fewer if leap years intervene). Saturday is statistically the most common wedding day. More babies are born on Tuesday than any other day (due to scheduled C-sections and inductions). Friday the 13th occurs at least once every year. The Gregorian calendar we use was adopted in 1582 — dates before that used the Julian calendar with slightly different leap year rules.
The day-of-week calculator is one of the most frequently used "curiosity" calculators — people check their birthday, historical events, and future holidays. Users often check multiple dates in one session, driving excellent time-on-page metrics.
