This calculator tells you the day of the week for any date in history or the future. July 4, 1776 was a Thursday. The Moon landing on July 20, 1969 was a Sunday. Your birthday, anniversary, or any date you're curious about — enter it above.

Fun Day-of-the-Week Facts

Calendars repeat every 28 years (or fewer if leap years intervene). Saturday is statistically the most common wedding day. More babies are born on Tuesday than any other day (due to scheduled C-sections and inductions). Friday the 13th occurs at least once every year. The Gregorian calendar we use was adopted in 1582 — dates before that used the Julian calendar with slightly different leap year rules.
