Calculation

Tons = area × depth (m) × 1.5। 50 sq m at 5 cm: 3.75 tons। Gravel: ₹800-1,500/ton। Decorative pebbles: ₹3,000-8,000/ton। River sand banned in many states — M-sand (manufactured sand) is the legal alternative।

Types

20mm aggregate: foundations। 10mm: concrete mix। River pebbles: landscaping। M-sand: plastering/concreting।

⚡ CalcWolf Insight

Gravel compacts by approximately 30% when properly tamped. If you need 4 inches of finished depth, spread 5.5 inches of loose gravel before compacting with a plate compactor. This is especially important for driveways where a solid, stable surface is critical.
