Bigger Is Not Always Cheaper

The assumption that bulk or larger sizes are always cheaper per unit is wrong roughly 30% of the time. Grocery stores frequently put smaller sizes on sale while the larger size stays at regular price, temporarily making the smaller size cheaper per unit. Some brands intentionally price mid-size options to be the best deal, making both the smallest and largest sizes relatively expensive.
