How Many Sheets of Plywood Do You Need?

Calculate the number of 4×8 plywood sheets for subflooring, sheathing, and projects.

Plattenmaße

Standard: 250 × 125 cm (3,125 m²). Für 30 m²: 30 ÷ 3,125 = 9,6 Platten + 10% = 11. Sperrholz Birke 18 mm: 25-40 €/Platte. OSB 18 mm: 15-25 €. MDF: 12-20 €. OSB ist 30-40% günstiger aber weniger feuchtigkeitsbeständig.

Verwendung

Möbelbau: Multiplex Birke (hochwertig). Unterkonstruktion: OSB (günstig). Regalböden: MDF oder Multiplex. Im Trockenbau: OSB als Beplankung der Ständerwand.

When buying plywood, inspect each sheet at the store. Plywood can warp, delaminate, or have voids in lower grades. Stand the sheet on edge — it should be straight with no twist. Check edges for delamination (separation of layers). This 30-second inspection prevents project headaches.
